Four playlets showing Neil Simon at his most humorous and compassionate are set in a hotel suite in Hollywood.
In Visitor From New York Hannah, a magazine writer, is joined by her ex-husband, the question for discussion being with whom should their daughter spend the next six months. The badinage flies fast and furious before they agree the solution. The Visitor From Philadelphia is a wife who arrives at the suite, catching her husband in flagrante delicto with a drunken hooker. In Visitors From London, star actress Diana, an award nominee, returns from the ceremony empty handed to gay husband Sidney who will be no comfort to her tonight.
