Present Laughter by Noel Coward

Director's notes:

"Popular actor Garry Essendine revels in being a temperamental prima donna.  Though separated from his wife Liz he still remains under her control.

When he becomes more deeply involved with the exceedingly attractive vampish Joanna - and it becomes clear it will be difficult to extract himeself - Liz returns and takes him under her wing again.

A variety of colourful characters surround Garry in his hectic theatrical life with many amusing consequences.  The play is set in 1920s London with the main character modelled on Noel Coward himself.

Sue Cash, Director

"That was not a prostitute, Daphne.  It was the wife of one of my dearest friends!"
